What we audit

Seven lines. One report.

Every overhead a UK business can realistically change, checked against the market on the same document.

Audit report · section 01

Card payments

Card processing is the single most opaque line on most retail and hospitality P&Ls. We rebuild your effective rate from the statement and show you what the same volume costs elsewhere.

What the audit checks

  • Effective rate — total charges divided by total turnover, the only number that matters
  • Blended versus Interchange++ pricing and which one suits your card mix
  • Terminal rental and whether you are still paying for hardware you own outright
  • PCI DSS compliance fees and non-compliance penalties

Card fee calculator

See what a percentage point is really costing you.

Three numbers you already have. The result is arithmetic, not a quote — but it is usually enough to decide whether the audit is worth five minutes.

How it works

Four steps, and only one of them is yours.

No discovery call, no qualification process. You send bills; we send a document.

  1. Day 001

    Send us the bills

One recent bill per service. Upload them, email them, or send photos from your phone — a legible photo of a statement is enough to start.

    Takes about five minutes

  2. Days 1–702

    We rebuild your real costs

We work out your effective rate on each line, check it against live pricing across our panel, and note every contract end date and notice period we find.

    No calls, no sales process

  3. Day 703

    You get the report

Current cost against market cost, line by line, with the annual difference in pounds and the contract end date on every service. Yours to keep either way.

    A document, not a callback

  4. Ongoing04

    We hold your renewal dates

Every end date from the audit goes in the diary. We come back 90 days before each one, which is the window where switching is actually possible.

Only if you want us to

What you actually get

This is the document. Read it before you send us anything.

Not a callback, not a quote, not a dashboard login. A written audit with the arithmetic shown, the lines we would leave alone marked as such, and every contract date we found.

A worked example, not a client’s report. The figures are the same illustration used by the calculator below — £25,000 a month on card at 1.75%. Your report uses your own statements.

  • 1

Every line, including the ones worth nothing to us

Energy came back competitive. It earns ABCA nothing and it is in the report anyway — a review that recommends switching everything is a pitch, not an audit.

  • 2

The figure is annual, and it is arithmetic

Current cost minus market cost on your own volume. No projections, no assumed growth, no best-case.

Every report contains

  • Effective rate on every line, rebuilt from your own statements
  • The same volume priced across our full panel
  • The annual difference in pounds, per line
  • Lines that are already competitive, marked as such
  • Every contract end date and notice period we can find
  • What we would do, and what we would leave alone

Nothing, at any stage. There is no consultation fee, no report fee and no success fee. Like every broker in this market we are paid by a supplier if you choose to move to them, which is what keeps the audit free — and if you stay where you are, you keep the report anyway.

A written report, usually within 7 working days of us having your bills. It sets out what each service costs you today, what the same service costs across our panel, the annual difference in pounds, and the end date and notice period on every contract we find. The report is yours to keep and to take to anyone else.

No. A good proportion of the lines we audit come back as 'you are already on a competitive rate, do nothing'. Those lines earn us nothing and we still write them.

A recent bill for each service you want reviewed — typically a merchant statement, a gas and electricity bill and a telecoms bill. Three months of bank statements if you want banking included. That is the whole ask.

Uploads go to private, encrypted storage. Only the consultant working on your audit can open them. We do not sell or share your data, and we delete documents on request. Full detail is in our privacy notice.

Yes. ABCA Solutions Ltd is registered with the Information Commissioner's Office as a data controller, which is a requirement for holding your business's billing data.

A comparison site returns a list of quotes based on what you type into a form. We read your actual bills, work out your real effective cost, and hand you a document. The difference is that we do the work before you commit to anything.

Yes, and they are among the most worthwhile audits we do. Half-hourly electricity, KVA capacity charges set for a previous occupier and service-charge overlap on multi-let estates are all common and all expensive.

Nothing you have not asked for. If you want to move on a recommendation we handle the paperwork and the switch. If you do not, we diarise every contract end date we found and come back to you 90 days before each one.

The last step is yours

Send us three bills. Keep the report either way.

It takes about five minutes at your end. Nothing is chargeable, nothing auto-renews, and nobody calls you unless you ask.
